Java Application on Desktop to Android Device
I've been thinking about starting up a project (game) to run on the PC using Java. And since Android apps use Java, I was wondering what the process would be to transfer it from the desktop application to a game that would run on the Android phone.
Thanks in advance!

Android apps work quite a bit different from your ordinary java programs. You should probably be able to keep most of the game logic if you separated it well enough. The gui side however will require quite a bit of work as you'll have to adapt your program to support a variety of fixed screen sizes and a completely different set of gui controls.
You also have to consider other special circumstances in the android environment like:
* that you have no control over when you game is unloaded
* you are quite restricted in the ways you can persist data for your game.
All in all I expect you'll have to modify or even rewrite a significant portion of your application.

Thanks a bunch, Hugh of Borg! I'll keep that stuff in mind. I'm kind of just starting with making games in java, so it should be quite an experience!
