100% cpu, pc-cillin/symwsc.exe-related

hello!

since installing pc-cillin internet security 2005, i've had problems with my CPU usage being consistently at 100%. when the program is installed, windows task manager says that a process called "symwsc.exe" is using over 90% of my CPU; i learned that this is the norton security center that resides in my taskbar tray. when pc-cillin is not installed, however, my CPU usage is normal.

FYI, there's a history of Symantec and its competitors (namely McAfee) purposely bombing each others applications. They also constantly sued each other and stole source code. In fact Norton Uninstaller had to be removed from the market because of its illegitimate source and Symantec quickly bought Quarterdeck for its Cleansweep product (which was by far and away the best on the market). I wouldn't be surprised if you are running into some intentional incompatibility between Symantec and Trend.
