Advise for antivirus software.

What antivirus software do you use and why did you choose it?

Personally I use AVG from Grisoft. (Free Edition). It's free and seems to work pretty darn good, and integrates with outlook nicely.

I don't use any antivirus software on my own computer. My email is checked for viruses at the mail host, but that's it.

I don't have antivirus software too, but I regularly scan with this online tools:

http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/com/activescan_principal.htm

http://support.f-secure.com/enu/home/ols.shtml

http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

I just don't like how much resources are taken from the resident antivirus software

On any Windows boxes:

http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php
http://www.f-prot.com/download/home_user/
(f-prot ms-dos version is free and scans win9x systems fine - Linux version is free and can be placed on a Linux partition to scan the Windows partition(s)
http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/
http://www.clamwin.com/
http://www.avast.com/eng/av4_version_comp.html

AVG is put into real time scanner mode and other anti-virus scanners are used for backup scanning for comparison with AVG's scanning methods

AntiVir I like, easy to use, and finds almost everything.
Microsoft Anti-Spyware Beta is an excellent (and free) tool.
AVG is ok....
If you don't mind paying for it, Panda is great.
