anti-Virus Software - AVG
I have never been the one to go out and purchase a license for an anti-virus program. So I have been using AVG which happens to be free. Been using it for a few years without getting/finding a virus. Do you think it's working? No computer problems as of yet! Does anyone else use this and more importantly know if it works,
Thanks!

I use AVG on one computer, and while it's not my favourite, I have had it find viruses and other things in emails which it doesn't like.

Ya pays ya money ya takes ya choice - try typing xyz product problems in a search engine - replacing xyz with your product and see what you get. Do you know how to setup a dummy virus and test it? this kinda thing is in the security websites on the net.

I use it and so far it's been working fine. Unless there's some unknown hidden virus that's not doing anything on my computer.

I have used AVG for years now. It has been pretty good for me - found tonnes of virus (don't use IE any more) and has stopped e-mails frequently.
A good test for you http://www.eicar.org/anti_virus_test_file.htm , try saving the file -> your software shouldn't allow it and should give virus warnings. It is safe by the way ![]()

Which is why you should normally run it in conjuction w/ something like Norton, for instance. Redundacy of security is a good thing.
