Automatically scan/delete spyware?
Are there any tools you can use to automatically scan for and delete spyware? I suppose the programs need user intervention as you have to check what to delete so the program does not delete a non-spyware file in error.
How do you go about running this in an office with 20 computers. I install anti-spyware programs & tell the users to run them once a week many do not.(until something bad happens) They are getting so much spyware lately I would like to scan each computer every night. So I was wondering if there are options to automate the process or maybe the professional versions of the spyware tools have some sort of automation built in? Thanks, -George

Hi George,
That's an interesting question you brought up. Quote:
So if this product performs as it advertises, $639 is a fair price to pay to eliminate lots of admin time for 20 computers! You can see the entire article here: http://www.techweb.com/wire/26805141

What I did was buy the Professional version of adaware. Then with the command line options you can setup a scheduled task to have it run automatically.

Thanks for sharing that! It will execute and remove malware without any user input?

At the end of the above thread it will show the command line options. It will update, remove malware without input, and run silently in the background without user intervention. Since there is no input from the user it might accidently delete something you want to keep occaisionally. But I would rather deal with reinstalling an occaisional app then trying to keep all the machines clean. The spyware crap is getting bad lately! -GB |

That's great! Adaware is an excellent product. I doubt if you will run into any problems regarding application corruption. I've been using their products for years and they have never failed me!
