Get rid of your spyware.

Ad-aware SE Personal is free with free update defs. Keep it around and scan at will. It will check for def updates.
Webroot also has a demo you can download and run. But doesn't give free updates. Must purchase. or download a new demo version for each run.

Download both, install, and run.

Also, I might suggest you download and use Mozilla Firefox. There are many reports that suggest it is solid, fast, and more secure browser then IE. Plus has built in popup blocker, tabbed browser, cookie manager, password manager, .... and a bunch of other things as part or can be installed using extentions. It's not perfect though but IMHO it's much better. Caveat - Things like ActiveX and non W3 compliant pages(Internet Explorer compliant only) pages won't load correctly. But for the most part, it the same if not better.

I would also suggest getting spywareblaster as well, it doesnt scan or remove spyware but it blocks all the known vunerabilities in IE and Mozilla.
