Took a look and you got a mess there if you see in the report it has infected alot of program EXE's and bitdefender has deleted them.
Im not at home yet but going soon.

Yeah, the infected .exes are really starting to get annoying. I've explained the .exe problem already so you probably know what it's doing. Half the programs on my desktop are infect, all AV programs are infected except Avast. I think it's doing it on startup, every time I reboot Avast tells me a program is trying to shut it down and asks me if I want to continue. Since I select "no" every time and Avast has not been infected yet I'm assuming it's the same virus trying to shutdown Avast that all my other programs are infected with. I don't know if knowing the virus is infecting things on startup helps but I thought I would mention that.

I am concerned since you have more than Bagel that going on will make that PC un bootable. Do you have your XP disk and a place to back some files?
Every time I think were getting somewhere something slaps us back. If you want to go on try this online scan. http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/ |

I actually tried to reinstall windows when I first got the virus and it was making my computer almost unusable,(I originally had trojan.ADHammer on my computer and that made my desktop and all my icons disappear) It didn't work though. Maybe I was doing it wrong or something but when I booted my computer I pressed F8 and selected "Boot from disk" or something to that effect, I can't exactly remember, with my XP disk in one of my drives. But during the setup it told me windows needed to be repaired and gave me two options: Repair windows or cancel the installation. I tried like 3 times with a few different methods but all it ever seemed to do was repair windows and leave everything intact, including the viruses.
I'm running the scan right now. |

I still think Reinstall would be a better choice. Here is a step by step with pictures.
http://www.winsupersite.com/showcas...xp_sg_clean.asp I truly hate to take that step. For me at work I have hours of "fun" cleaning up infections on a daily basis. But there a few cases format is the best medicine. |

lame, Alright, I suppose I will try that. Thanks for taking the time to help me out here, I really appreciate it a lot.
Now I'm looking forward to hours of "fun" getting all my software and games back ![]() (but not the torrented games, I'm done with that crap ) |
