E-mail attachments are

My recieved E-mail attachments are suddenly all greyed out and I can't open the pictures. The picture is in the main window pane but I can not open any of the pictures when I click on the paper clip. Any ideas as to what might have happened?

Thanks in advance

Jeff

are you using outlook express or Outlook ? or are you refering to your online email account ?

i presume its the former catergory. please confrim what e-mail software you are using.

if you are using outlook express or outlook, please go to:
tools>options> and select the security tab. there will be a checkbox witht he following lines "do not allow attachment to be saved or opened". make sure this option is not checked.

i do not believe this is the problem, because you say you can preview the attachment in the email main window correct ?

Does this occur with all your mail ? or only from specific sites/contacts ?

try re-installing your email software (be warned you may loose your existing email in your inbox and your address book etc).

if you suspect foul play by malware of some kind, please download a free software called "hijackthis" [see my signature for a link to where you can download this]. install it to a permanent folder on your computer and run it. save a log file and post the log here.

That was it. The box was all of a sudden checked. I unchecked it and we are good to go thanks.
