External devices not openin with douvle clik
...when ever i put any external device on my computer and double clik on it then it opens open with option..thn if i clik on explore still it opens open with option ...but if i open my computer with explore thn i can access the external devices.....
i hav tried formatting my windows and i hav fully udated norton anti virus 2007.... |

i have 1 internal drive with 3 partitions and 1 external drive with 2 partitions....

So you formatted the partition with Windows. and did a fresh (clean) install and then reloaded your programs?
Let's see what's running in your system. Please download HijackThis from HERE . Click on the downloaded file to run it and select "Do a system scan and save a logfile". Use copy/paste and post back here the log it creates for review. Due to fourm restrictions you will have to edit out the URL's before posting logs. |

get into registry by typing regedit in the run dialog box.
Find the key named Mountpoints2 and delete the key if you find any thing more than the drives in your computer..normally A,B C, D, E, F etc. There will be some junk after you click on the + symbol beside Mountpoints2. Hope this works |
