Usually if you search Google with the exact URL you are being redirected to, you will find information as to how others have cleared up the same problem.

Remove mshp
This virus, adware pain in the but can be solved by the following;
1) Find mshp.dll 2) Delete it 3) Go the Start/Run and type "RegEdit" hit enter 4) Hit ctr F and search the registry for mshp 5) Delete the key and hit F3 to find the next 6) Delete the Startup page key 7) hit F3 and keep deleting until you can't find it anymore I think there where two keys. Behind the scenes they run the dll from the windows directory and use the registry keys to store the start page and another helper file. I also tried to unregister the dll but it couldn't find the entry point. Cheers! |

Getting rid of res://mshp.dll/index.html#37049
A quick way to get rid of res://mshp.dll/index.html#37049 is to restore you computer to a certain point. When you install programs, Windows creates restore points (you can also manually set these points). Go to Start, Programs, Accessorites, System Tools, and System Restore. (for XP) Follow the prompts for "Restore my computer to an earlier time." Submit a date when you know your computer was working fine, and you should be good. System Restore does not delete files, documents, or emails that you've created - it just loads the computer's settings to that date.

Can't do it with 2000 professional
Thanks for the good advice but I can't do that with Win 2000 Professional. I may be able to return to a "System Snapshot" I took with Spywareblaster, Think so? Thanks teacher4u
