Groove.x32 Adware.ezula
I posted this in the thread about Ezula but got no response so I thought I would try a fresh thread.
I have just had norton antivirus find Adware.Ezula it looks like it is linked to macromedia . I cant find Ezulu or TopText in the uninstall menu and though norton recomends to delete it . It fails to do so each time. Then it asks me if I would ignore it in future scans . I have scanned my computer with spybot , microsoft antispyware , ad-aware and spy hunter and none of these have detected it. I have also read that there might be legal implcations and that the installing program may no longer work. should I just let norton ignore this ?( I have found the file that norton is showing as adware.ezula it is in the macromedia shockwave folder under The groovealliance it is groove.x32 what is it ?) |

Hello Lgt1,
I have experienced the same identical problem. I was wondering if you or anyone else has found an answer. Thanks for your input |

Not being able to find much info on the groove alliance other than it has to do with some online gameing and and advertising games for companies I deleted the whole groove aliance file and now norton is happy. The thing I cant figure out is that the files in question had been created back in november . But Norton did not find anything till just the other day?

Lgt1,
I would not ignore it if I were you. I had similar problem (see my posts below). It seems this could lead to other ad-programs and spy programs sneaking into your system. I was able to get rid of ezula, but since then I have constant problems with other program such as Troj_Qlogic.a, isearch, web-redirect programs, etc.. Do what you can to keep your system clean See my postings/replies on how to get rid of ezula. Good luck. Tonyl |
