i have used spysubtract, ad-aware SE, CWshredder, spybot search and destroy and tons more spyware destroyers. i have tried to use various symantec worm removals (about 5) and repatched the msblast worm fix. also i tried to open system restore so i could load a point before this incident but the screen was just blank.

i can't seem to find the problem, also, norton antivirus would not run, any help?

PS: i have tried deleting

O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP: c:\windows\system32\aklsp.dll
O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP: c:\windows\system32\aklsp.dll
O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP: c:\windows\system32\aklsp.dll
O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP: c:\windows\system32\aklsp.dll

but it says if i want to restart right afta i deleted it, and der was chinese writing above the restart box. so i restarted my pc and wen i rescanned my pc, it appeared again on hijackthis

(btw, im not sure if u need it but here is my pc specs:

AMD64 3200+
1gig DDR ram
Geforce FX 5600 256MB
Windows XP)

Thread split. It's better to create a new thread for a new problem, rather than replying to someone else's thread.

Hi Raymon,

You might want to print these instructions for reference or copy and paste them into notepad and save them on your desktop.

If you have any questions before starting the fix, please don't hesitate to ask!

Please download and run LSPFix from here:

http://cexx.org/LSPFix.exe

On the opening screen, click "I know what I'm doing".. Check all instances of "aklsp.dll" (and nothing else), and move them to the "Remove" pane. Then click Finish.

Next...

Please update HijackThis, you are using an outdated version:

Open HijackThis, click Config > Misc Tools > Check for Update online

Or download a copy of version 1.98.2 at:

http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html

Post a fresh log with this new version.

Tom

Thank you

Hmm, i figured it out yesterday, i copied paste the adskl file onto desktop. went into safe mode and deleted it. den i went bak to windows finding out that my lan card wasn't working (my cpu usuage was down to 5%), so i randomly searched my registry, found the adkls registry (took me like 2 hours) and deletd it. den i restarted windows finding out that that another 5 more spywares came in, den my comp lagged up again and it took me so long to delete it. but i thank u for trying to help me, if onli i saw it earlier.

Happy to hear your problem is resolved! Although manually removing files from the LSP stack can be risky

Feel free to post a final HijackThis log for review.

Why is it we seem to have to learn things the hard way first
