Help with viruses
I got two Trojans (I forgot the name), but they involve
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\cranti.dll and C:\Windows\System32\req.dat Trendmicros tips involved deleting registry entries so that the next time I start my computer these viruses would not start to use these files and then I could delete them. However when I delete the registry entries they come back up next time I start windows! I can't get rid of these viruses and I dont want to reinstall everything so any help is appreciated. |

I think you would have been better posting this in the Antu-Virus forum. I believe that they can sometimes be removed by using HiJackThis (or some other program they use in that forum, not been in there for a while
). Check the stickys in that forum for more guidance on that.

There is something else installing those files. Download Highjack this and install it into its own folder, run it and post the output into the Antivirus forum as aitken said.
Did you perform those registry entries fomr safe mode? that would be your best bet... but post that log in the AV forum and the guys in there will tell you the best way to go about recovering your system. |

Hi sad.machine,
If you still need help, please post a HijackThis log. Please download HijackThis. Make sure you install HijackThis to a permanent folder such as C:\HJT as it creates backups of what we will fix. Run the program, click the button at the top "Do a system scan and save a logfile". Save the log to a convenient place such as C:\HJT Notepad will open, copy and paste the entire log into your post. Do not fix anything yet, most of what's in the log is needed! http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html Tom
