The best way to look for updated drivers is through the manufacturer's website. If you have an Nvidia video card, for example you would go to:

http://www.nvidia.com/page/home

and search for an updated driver for your video card.

The same goes for your monitor.

If you need more help, just holler

I have installed the most recent driver for the video card (intel(R)82845G) on the intel website with version 6.14.10.3943.
How do I go about finding an update driver for the monitor?
The driver provider is microsoft and it was last updated in 2001 with a version 5.1.2001.0
I've tried the microsoft webpage but came up with no downloads for a monitor.
I'm sorry for all the trouble. Sigh about the flickering monitor.

Very rarely do you need an updated monitor driver, but it's always worth a shot!

Search with your monitor's make and model number on google.com That should lead you to the manufacturer's web page. The exact model number us usually on the back of the unit.

No driver updates seem to be working. Oh well, I think the screen is bearable at 60hz and trying windows restore hasn't helped so I think i'm just going to leave it as it is.

Thank you for all the time that you spent on this.
