Investigate these, and if you don't know them, or can't account for them, then delete them. You could do worse than download adaware from www.lavasoft.de, and see what that turns up first

You might want to print these instructions for reference or copy and paste them into notepad and save them on your desktop, as you will be off the internet while using HijackThis.

If you have any questions before starting the fix, please don't hesitate to ask!

Please go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove programs and remove:

Spyware Begone < it is considered bogus software.

bulletproofsoft < if you are not actively using this product's firewall, you might consider removing it. There are more reliable products out there.

I suggest installing Zone Alarm. It's a good entry-level firewall. After installing, check your Security Center in the Control Panel and make sure Zone Alarm is the only firewall running.

http://www.zonelabs.com/store/conte...reeDownload.jsp

Next...

Logoff your internet connection. Run HijackThis, click scan, place a checkmark next to the following items. Close all browsers and any other windows or the fix may not work! Click "fix checked". It is OK if some of these items are no longer listed.

O2 - BHO: pifmge - {71DD4A5A-7E22-6519-D3B1-321C26FEFB1E} - (no file)
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Spyware Begone] C:\freescan\freescan.exe -FastScan

These are resource hogs that can be fixed also:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime

Search for and delete the following folder:

C:\freescan

Next....

Go to Start > Run > type "cleanmgr" (without the quotes). > Select the drive to clean up (usually C ) > Place a checkmark next to the following:

Temporary Internet Files
Recycle Bin
Temporary Files

Then click OK.

Please post a fresh HijackThis log.
