Hijacked Homepage fixed now Add/Delete Programs will not work

I had my homepage hijacked and fixed it with HijackThis and CWShredder, thanks for the help there.

My other problem is that I updated the service pack on IE6 and now the icon for Outlook Express in the bottom tool bar is missing and I cannot access the Add/Delete Programs in the Control Panel. I click on it and nothing happens. I went to Micorsoft's Knowledge Base and this is a problem with Win2000. Is uninstalling IE6 and reinstalling the only fix or can I do something else?
