Wow... that's really going to help solve your problem. Perhaps say what's been hijacked, what you've already tried and post a HijackThis log...

EDIT: He's added all that stuff so this post doesn't make any sense now

Hi bigjas,

Start HijackThis, place a checkmark next to the following items. Then, close ALL browsers and windows except HijackThis. Click "Fix checked".

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)

Enable hidden and system files. Follow the instructions here:
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

Reboot into Safe Mode

Boot into safe mode, instructions:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPOR...01052409420406/

Search for and delete: load.exe

Reboot normally and post a fresh log.

Do you know what this is?
F1 - win.ini: run=C:\WINDOWS\System32\services\C.exe

Hello Tom,

Thanks for your assistance.

Followed instructions up untill working in safe mode. Computer freezes while in F8 safe mode and after 4 attempts

Used Sys Config Utility
Searched for Load.exe
Found two files
MIGLOAD in folder C\:I386
MIGLOAD in folder C\:SYSTEM32\USMT
Both of these are described as a Stub loader for File and Settings Transfer Wizard

Should I delete these?

>Do you know what this is?
>F1 - win.ini: run=C:\WINDOWS\System32\services\C.exe

Not a clue but I get an error at start up saying that it can not load this file...

Again, many thanks.

That sure is odd that your computer freezes in Safe Mode. There are fewer items loading in Safe Mode than in normal mode.

If you cant find Load.exe it's ok. You should be fine.

Let's run HijackThis again and fix:
F1 - win.ini: run=C:\WINDOWS\System32\services\C.exe

Reboot and you should be free of that not loading error.

Tom

Hi Tom,

The pesky load error seems to have resolved. Still having problems with IE wanting to chage home page to about:blank.

Still can't post my log to this site, getting an IE error. I have to email it to my other computer across the room and post from there? I have read that some of the newer spyware will actually block access to dev help websites...

I will try and update by spyware and adaware tools and run again.

Any thoughts on the persisting IE error of not being able to post anything longer than a paragraph?

Thanks!

You seem to keep getting hit with this dialer:

O16 - DPF: {11111111-1111-1111-1111-111111111157} - ms-its:mhtml:file://c:\nosuch.mht!http://petite-virgins.biz/dl/adv74/x.chm::/load.exe

See if you can delete:

c:\nosuch.mht!

in Safe Mode.

Will check back tomorrow.... getting late

Also, lets turn off System Restore in case there is a copy of it stored there:

Turn off System Restore.
Right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Reboot.

Turn ON System Restore.
Right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

I did as you instructed. Not sure if I did it correctly... Since I can't use F8 safe mode, I have to run MSConfig and start in diagnostic mode, (Is that the correct step?) Was not able to find any of the files that you recommended I delete...

So without deleting anything I ran a new log and was not able to find that DPF file you recommeded I fix..

newest log.
CWS Shredder run
Adaware run

Sorry about the delay... life keeps getting in the way

Ok lets hit this thing with both barrels:

Perform an online virus scan at Trend Micro's Housecall. Remove all it finds.

Perform an online scan at symantec.com/avcenter Click on "Check for secirity risks". Remove all you can.

Reboot

Download, install and UPDATE Spybot Search and Destroy. Scan and fix all items maked in RED.

Reboot

Download, install and UPDATE Adaware. Scan and fix all checked items.

Reboot

Run HijackThis, post a new log.

All links are below.

Tom

Thanks for the instructions...

Did all the steps you instructed.

Symantic told me I had viruses/trojans and I went through the steps to delete 3x, but they are still there...

These were the files that it did not like...

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\Pgfdaifg.exe is infected with Backdoor.Berbew.B
C:\Documents and Settings\Jenni Gabelsberg\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\A.exe is infected with Backdoor.Berbew.B
C:\Documents and Settings\Jenni Gabelsberg\Application Data\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\javapi\v1.0\jar\classload.jar-1f5b6b54-29b3c0ae.zip is infected with Trojan.ByteVerify

Any thoughts about these?

Ran all the other steps and they came clean.

Still can not post my lHJT log to this website. Will attach as a text and load it from my other computer. IE error tells me that there is a memory error and then shuts all browsers down..

On other computer now that can post just fine...
