I'm new to devshed, found y'all (as we say in GA) from google.

I have the same problem mention in this thread, I followed your instructions, but it didn't fix my problem. Can you give me a few pointers. Below is my log. Thanks a million.

I was about to start a new thread but it looks like it was done for me, thank you.

My issue is (obviously) my home page has been hijacked and I followed the instructions from a previous poster that had the same problems and it did not entirely solve my problem. When I reboot, my home page has been reset again to about:blank, (although the PC is running noticeably faster now). I keep finding the about:blank in the hijackthis log and can't seem to shake it. Any other suggestions? My latest hijackthis log is in the first post of this thread. Thanks a million!

Sorry, I did that for you.

Hijack problems tend to be different from one computer to another, so that's why the other solution maybe didn't solve your problem entirely. I'm not really an expert with these logs, but maybe someone else (like Tom) will be around later to help.

Thanks again and sorry for the delay in my response. I've been out of town and we had an ice storm last week here in Atlanta and we were without power for a couple of days. Nothing like camping in your own home......

Back to my PC. The fella from my wife's office "fixed" the pc or so I thought. It was running food for about a week and just last night I couldn't get it to power up. It would get stuck on the "loading personal settings" page. I tried everything and nothing worked. This morning I was able to get it on but it was running very slow. I ran AdAware and it found over 70 items to remove.

I'm at the office now, but if you don't mind looking at it I'll post another Hijack this log this evening when I get home. Thanks so much for your help!
