Have you installed a anti-virus program and/or firewall?
Run a full/deep scan with your anti-virus program.

Installing an anti-virus will not clean off your computer. You need to actually use it to scan your machine. You can scan your flash disks as well, but if another machine is infecting them, try to get that machine fixed as well.

Free Antivirus Resources
I recommend going to this site and reading their free Antivirus removal resources. The site is pc-infection dot com.

if your system is infected you can use
AVG - Download link
Avira - Download Link
MalwareBytes - Site Link
You may also want to use Wireshark to view packets being sent across your network lan to see if another system is running a bit torrent of other things of that short.
WireShark - Site Link
Hope this helps.

How to scan LAN?
Hi,
Install LANScan on any PC on your network and it will collect data automatically. Built in real time graphics and dynamic lists display network activity in a way that is easily understood by all users. Use LANScan to solve common network problems including network slowdowns; device availability; inappropriate use; application failures and more. LANScan identifies all network devices and reports on their activity making it easy to identify unwanted or unexpected users.
Thanks
Devid
