Hi Hokitio,

Please move HijackThis from the root of your C:\ drive. Create a new folder such as C:\HJT and put the program in that folder. Run HijackThis, Place a checkmark next to the following items. Close ALL browsers and windows except HijackThis. Click "fix checked".

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://www.isearch.com/index.php?ref=none
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName =
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {1C78AB3F-A857-482e-80C0-3A1E5238A565} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\toolbar.dll
O3 - Toolbar: iSearch Toolbar - {1C78AB3F-A857-482e-80C0-3A1E5238A565} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\toolbar.dll
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [CMESys] "C:\Program Files\Common Files\CMEII\CMESys.exe"
O4 - Global Startup: GStartup.lnk = C:\Program Files\Common Files\GMT\GMT.exe
O8 - Extra context menu item: &iSearch The Web - res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\toolbar.dll/SEARCH.HTML

Enable hidden and system files. Follow the instructions here:
http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

Reboot in to safe mode

Boot into safe mode instructions:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPOR...01052409420406/

Delete the following file:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\toolbar.dll

Delete the following folders:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\CMEII\
C:\Program Files\Common Files\GMT\GMT.exe

Reboot normally.

Download & install Hosts File Reader:
http://members.shaw.ca/techcd/VB_Pr...sFileReader.exe

Click on "scan for hosts".

When any hosts file is found, it will be listed in the bottom window, click on it and press the reset default button.

This will replace any bad entries with the standard windows entries

NOTE: if you intentionally use a customized hosts file to block certain sites then this will overwrite all those entries as well and you will need to re-enter them .

Reboot and post a new log

I suggest you uninstall the P2P program or you will just get infected again.

Tom

and now some new window i never used befor comes up its Microsoft Work Portfolio i never used it before so if you can make it go away also that would be cool.

If I am not mistaken, you just right-click on Works Portfolio, go to options and choose the option not to load on boot.

Run HijackThis. Place a checkmark next to the followinf items. CLOSE ALL other windows and browsers. Click "fix checked".

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SaveNow] C:\Program Files\SaveNow\SaveNow.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [New.net Startup] rundll32 C:\PROGRA~1\NEWDOT~1\NEWDOT~1.DLL,NewDotNetStartup
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ETraffic] "c:\Program Files\topMoxie\JavaRun.exe" /cp "c:\Program Files\topMoxie" com.ETraffic.ETProxy.ETMain c:\Program Files\topMoxie
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [DownloadWare Engine] "C:\Program Files\DownloadWare Engine\DWE.EXE" /H
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [acocash] C:\Program Files\fastdownload-raf1\fastdown.exe -auto
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [System Soap Pro] C:\PROGRA~1\SYSTEM~1\soap.exe min

This is a resource hog you can safely remove it:
O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA9.EXE

Reboot into Safe Mode and delete

These folders:
C:\PROGRA~1\NEWDOT~1\ (probably c:\program files\newdotnet)
c:\Program Files\topMoxie\
C:\Program Files\DownloadWare Engine\
C:\Program Files\fastdownload-raf1\
C:\PROGRA~1\SYSTEM~1 (probably c:\program files\ststem soap pro\

Reboot normally and post a new log.

NOTE:
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [HXIUL.EXE] C:\Program Files\BestBuy\HelpExpress\HXIUL.EXE
Believed to be spyware - made by a company called Alset. Also known as "HelpExpress". Will install itself if you have previously had Attune by Aveo installed as they're by the same company. Uninstall via Add/Remove programs

Do you want to download and install google toolbar? If so, go to:
toolbar.google.com

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MSConfig] C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\MSConfig.exe /auto

Do you have items disabled in MSCONFIG? If so, please enable all items.

Please do an online virus scan at Trend Micro Housecall (link below).

Reboot and post a new log.

About the laggish scrolling - You may need to uninstall your video card driver and reinstall it, that is what happened with my computer.
