I need help too

I am using Windows XP. My CPU is maxed out. Whenever I use Explore (6) I get kicked out. When I'm trying to get on the web, I get kicked out or the computer freezes. In reading through the forum I noticed and did download hijackthis. I will post my log and hope someone out there will help me.

I just did a quick scan through, and first off having two antivirus installed will not double your protection but more likely cancel each other out. If everything is going your way, it will just use an unnecessary amount of RAM.

Not sure about the 'WinServSuit' and 'WinServAd'. Sounds scary though. You do want to get rid of those two.

By the looks of whats running, the worst process is the 'Bargain.exe'. Not good.

For the second section, you have a lot of unwanted crap.
03 - HPTOOLKIT - Gone
03 - Begin2Search - BuBye

ugh .... too much garbage. I think the best thing for you to do, is get a legit copy of XP and then you could get the updates. Without those, you're gonna have to choose between an internet connection or a licensed OS.

Which antivirus should I keep? I'm willing to do anything. I keep running AVG to get rid of trojans, but the polall1r.exe still is there and teh satmat.exe and conscorr.exe. I'm gonna download and try ewido and firefox to see if I can become more secure. Can you think of anything else I can take off the system? It is scary. A lot of bad stuff. Need guidance.
Thanks

Hi ThunderPants,

O3 - Toolbar: &hp toolkit - {B2847E28-5D7D-4DEB-8B67-05D28BCF79F5} - C:\HP\EXPLOREBAR\HPTOOLKT.DLL

Is the HP Explore Toolbar and is not Malware.

Please be careful what you suggest to remove!

Tom
