lately my internet web pages have been loading extremely slowly. sometimes the page will load then turn all white and it says "done" at the bottom"
i have adaware and it says the only thing i have besides tracking cookies is this thing called "cxpls" i also have spybot and CWshredder - those do not help the situation either. i downloaded hijackthis and here is my log Logfile of HijackThis v1.98.2 Scan saved at 9:32:10 PM, on 10/25/2004 Platform: Windows XP SP1 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP1 (6.00.2800.1106) Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\csrss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\nvsvc32.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\wdfmgr.exe C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe C:\WINDOWS\lmfk.exe C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe C:\WINDOWS\pgtaff.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\wuauclt.exe C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svcnet.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\themm.exe C:\Program Files\CxtPls\CxtPls.exe C:\Program Files\AIM\aim.exe C:\Program Files\Ventrilo\Ventrilo.exe C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe C:\Program Files\Ares\Ares.exe C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe C:\Documents and Settings\Tyson Williams\Desktop\hijackthis\HijackThis.exe R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing O2 - BHO: (no name) - {00000010-6F7D-442C-93E3-4A4827C2E4C8} - (no file) O2 - BHO: (no name) - {017C20C1-F86F-11D8-9B25-000ACD002AE3} - C:\WINDOWS\Helper100.dll O2 - BHO: (no name) - {53707962-6F74-2D53-2644-206D7942484F} - C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\SDHelper.dll O2 - BHO: SDWin32 Class - {668DB5E8-5F6B-4090-A0C3-33807C0921A5} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\ptoey.dll O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7A12A061-1396-4A68-8D0D-920618F280DA} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\cj6.dll O3 - Toolbar: &Radio - {8E718888-423F-11D2-876E-00A0C9082467} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\msdxm.ocx O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NvCplDaemon] RUNDLL32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\System32\NvCpl.dll,NvStartup O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [nwiz] nwiz.exe /install O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NvMediaCenter] RUNDLL32.EXE C:\WINDOWS\System32\NvMcTray.dll,NvTaskbarInit O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NeroFilterCheck] C:\WINDOWS\system32\NeroCheck.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ttiqcqya] C:\WINDOWS\System32\doucfbql.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Rxagik] C:\WINDOWS\Meruoq.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [CashBack] C:\Program Files\CashBack\bin\cashback.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [NaviSearch] C:\Program Files\NaviSearch\bin\nls.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ptoeyc] C:\WINDOWS\System32\ptoeyc.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [modlnj] C:\WINDOWS\lmfk.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [pgtaff] C:\WINDOWS\pgtaff.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [I/O Controllers] svcnet.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [s7oQ3ql] themm.exe O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [AAW] "C:\Program Files\Lavasoft\Ad-Aware SE Personal\Ad-Aware.exe" "+b1" O4 - HKLM\..\RunOnce: [pemez.exe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\pemez.exe /k O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MSMSGS] "C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe" /background O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Steam] C:\Program Files\Steam\Steam.exe -silent O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [MyDailyHoroscope] C:\PROGRA~1\MYDAIL~1\MYDAIL~1.EXE O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [dw74RkJ8Q] shrfaxui.exe O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [pgtaff] C:\WINDOWS\pgtaff.exe O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [I/O Controllers] svcnet.exe O4 - HKCU\..\RunOnce: [pemez.exe] C:\WINDOWS\System32\pemez.exe /k O9 - Extra button: AIM - {AC9E2541-2814-11d5-BC6D-00B0D0A1DE45} - C:\Program Files\AIM\aim.exe O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {6685509E-B47B-4f47-8E16-9A5F3A62F683} - file://C:\Program Files\Ebates_MoeMoneyMaker\Sy350\Tp350\scri350a.htm (file missing) (HKCU) O16 - DPF: {39B0684F-D7BF-4743-B050-FDC3F48F7E3B} (FilePlanet Download Control Class) - http://www.fileplanet.com/fpdlmgr/cabs/FPDC_1_0_0_44.cab O16 - DPF: {6414512B-B978-451D-A0D8-FCFDF33E833C} (WUWebControl Class) - http://v5.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/v5consumer/V5Controls/en/x86/client/wuweb_site.cab?1094596123011 O16 - DPF: {74D05D43-3236-11D4-BDCD-00C04F9A3B61} (HouseCall Control) - http://a840.g.akamai.net/7/840/537/2004061001/housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/xscan53.cab any help will be greatly appreciated |

Let's start here:
Download Stinger. Save it to your Desktop. Double-click it to start it. Make sure all of your drives are listed in the "Directories to scan" box (C:\ D:\ E:\, etc.). Click the Scan Now button and let it remove anything it finds. http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/ Next... Perform an onlne virus scan from this site: Trend Micro Housecall - Again, select all of your drives to be scanned. Please check "Auto clean" before scanning. http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ If you can, copy and paste the report logs from the scans into your next post. Next.... Let's do some more cleaning up: Download Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition version 1.05 from: http://www.lavasoft.de/support/download/ Run Adaware, click the "Check for Updates now" link. Install the latest reference file Perform a "Full system scan" with Adaware. Remove all checked items. Then... Download, install and UPDATE Spybot Search and Destroy 1.3. Scan and fix all items checked in RED. http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html Reboot and post a fresh HijackThis log. Tom
