IE 6 Adware problem

Hi,

I have recently been victim to the whole in IE that lets things install with out asking me.

I have tried Adaware, Spybot - Search&Destory and I can not remove this adware.

What happens is that every time I go to new page while browsing the internet, a new window, which is blank appears.
This is then injected with HTML which opens yet another window with an advert in it.

It is not as much a problem, as a hinderence.
As I can remove all the new spyware and adware it adds, but I can't find a way to remove it totally?
I have tried removing IE but the remove just seems to delete the desktop icon and the start-menu icon. so this does nothing.

anyone got any idea how I can get rid of the 'son of an adware' ?

Thanks in advanced,

ok I have downloaded HighjackThis and CWShredder,

HighJackThis doesn't seem to show anything wrong
and
CWShredder says the system is clean?

And this is obviously not true...

any other ideas?

ok, scrap what I said before

I sat down and read through the list and used bholist.exe to check them all out, I found 2 which were certifed Spyware, and one which was open to debate, so I removed them all.

seems ti have fixed the problem now,

thanks, at least I can use the net now, with out having to look at unwanted material or 'get your free ring tone here'

Thanks again,

That's good news .

Run this , it finds bits & pieces , that others dont.

Bazooka

http://www.kephyr.com/
Here is the current list of Bazooka fixes .
http://www.kephyr.com/spywarescanne...source=appvisit
Bazooka is freeware and Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP compatible
Click on the files found & you will be taken to a site that will show you how to remove , either with a program or manually .
It reports on all drives & partitions , so remember to check all these , when doing manual remove .
After the Download - It is important to remember that once the installation of Bazooka is completed , that you should update the File Signatures by clicking on the Update tab and check for an update .
Make sure you Update after installing & then regularly .
