Angry IE crashes when more than one browser is opened
Hi,

I'm new to the forum but am REALLY glad I found it.

My problem is as follows, for the last few months IE has been the biggest pain, I can open one IE browser but as soon as I open another one or a page I am viewing attempts to open one it crashes. I get the usual message of this program has committed an error and will shut down etc. It then sends a report. I have run AVG, Stinger, Spybot and Adware. These always get rid of anything that they find but the problem still persists.

I have also noticed that if I am connected to the internet and attempt to open word it will also just crash. PLEASE HELP me this is getting REALLY tedious.

Use "msconfig" and Taskmanager to find how many programmes are working and whether necessary resources are available or not. Also consider the use of Hijackthis.

You might want to print these instructions for reference, as you will be off the internet while using HijackThis.

Logoff your internet connection. Run HijackThis, close all browsers and any other windows, place a checkmark next to the following items. Click "fix checked".

Reboot.

You are behind on Windows Updates. This leaves your computer open to many threats. You will just get infected again if you don't install these! Please update Windows and Internet Explorer. Download each critical update one by one, rebooting when necessary.. Repeat this until you get the message "no critical updates available".

Please update HijackThis, you are using an outdated version:

Open HijackThis, click Config > Misc Tools > Check for Update online
