ISP's failing after 10 mins
Okay, here's one that's doing my head in. I'm on freeserve broadband using Windows XP. And for the past week, I can only use IE for the first ten minutes of loading up. The thing is that the internet is still on. I can use MSN, WinMX and ZMud. I thought that the fault may just be with IE, but I downloaded Netscape and the same thing keeps happening. If I disconnect and reconnect, it still doesn't work
I've tried loading windows updates, Norton, System Restore, fixing all file errors, defraging, nothing seems to work. HELP. The worst thing is, I'm going to have to restart the computer and log on to the net again before I can post this I ran Hijack This, here's what my system had to say: Logfile of HijackThis v1.97.7 Scan saved at 15:46:37, on 12/06/2004 Platform: Windows XP SP1 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP1 (6.00.2800.1106) Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\Ati2evxx.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\S24EvMon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ZCfgSvc.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\1XConfig.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\Ati2evxx.exe C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccEvtMgr.exe C:\Program Files\Apoint\Apoint.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\BacsTray.exe C:\Program Files\Intel\NCS\PROSet\PRONoMgr.exe C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI Control Panel\atiptaxx.exe C:\Program Files\Dell\QuickSet\QuickSet.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\dla\tfswctrl.exe C:\Program Files\Dell\Media Experience\PCMService.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\DSentry.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccApp.exe C:\Program Files\Winamp\winampa.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\E_S10IC2.EXE C:\Program Files\Common Files\Sonic\Update Manager\sgtray.exe C:\Program Files\D-Tools\daemon.exe C:\Program Files\Alcatel\SpeedTouch USB\Dragdiag.exe C:\Program Files\Messenger\msmsgs.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\ctfmon.exe C:\PROGRA~1\PANICW~1\POP-UP~1\PSFree.exe C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape\Netscp.exe C:\Program Files\Digital Line Detect\DLG.exe C:\Program Files\iFinger\iFinger.exe C:\Program Files\Apoint\Apntex.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\EPSON\EBAPI\eEBSVC.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\EPSON\EBAPI\SAgent2.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VS7DEBUG\MDM.EXE C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$MICROSOFTBCM\Binn\sqlservr.exe C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\navapsvc.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\RegSrvc.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\DllHost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\NOTEPAD.EXE C:\hijackthis\hijackthis.exe R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = URL R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = URL R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = URL R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = URL R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = URL R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Window Title = Oh Let Us Plummet Into The Void, Adventurers all!
