lsass.exe error and System Shutdown warnings!!
Hello all
I am sure all this has may have been dealt with before... But to me its a live problem in the office. Some of my colleagues' PCs running Win 2K SP4+ latest updates as well as some using Win XP too come up with lsass.exe error and system shutdown messages and the system will shutdown in 60 seconds..Non recoverable error? Someone suggested cmd> shutdown /a command to abort shutdown as a temporary measure which works but how many times can we do this? It has been variously explained as sasser worm which SasserFix By Norton never picks up and also as 'nothing to do with sasser worm' by others on the net when I browsed around for it... Any fresh thoughts other than Windows reinstall? Thanks in advance Nagesh

Please download the following software and run them on your pc in the order mentioned. Then scan with hijackthis and post a log. Please make sure hijackthis is unzipped to a permanent folder.
