Manually removing trojan.zeroacces!inf4 in Safe Mode?

Apologies if this is the wrong topic, but I am having a serious virus issue and need advice.

I have an Asus laptop that runs Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)

I ran a Norton virus scan that noticed the trojan.zeroacces!inf4, but requested I remove it manually. I found that the trojan was affecting the services.exe in the system32 folder. Since I'm not an idiot... I know that you cannot delete anything that has to do with system32.

Norton has an option to Get Help with the virus but I cannot view it because I cannot connect to the internet in safe mode.

When I try to boot up the system normally, the Windows load screen shows up, then goes to a black screen for a bit and then the system restarts automatically. I'm not sure if this is due to the virus.

Is there anyone that could be so kind as to help me to remove the virus manually in safe mode? I'm fairly knowledgeable about Windows and any step by step instructions can help.
