mouse is all inverted and driving me crazy

For the past month, I've had a very weird problem with my mouse - the functions are inverted !!!!!! The left click does what the right click does, and the right click doesn't even work. I also can't click and drag files. I've tried replacing my mouse with different mouses, and that didn't work. I've tried my mouse on another person's computer, and it worked fine there. I even turned set my computer to an earlier date, but that didn't work. This inverted mouse problem is driving me crazy - does anybody have any ideas if whether it's a virus, my computer, or something that can't be fixed?

Download HijackThis. Make sure you install HijackThis to a permanent folder such as C:\HJT as it creates backups of what we will fix. Run the program, press Scan, after a brief pause... press Save log. Notepad will open, copy and paste the entire log into your post. Do not fix anything yet, most of what's in the log is needed!

Please update HijackThis, you are using an outdated version. The new version does a better job of detecting malware:

Open HijackThis, click Config > Misc Tools > Check for Update online

Or download a copy of version 1.98.2 at:

Please move or unzip HijackThis to a permanent folder such as C:\HJT It is important that it is in it's own folder as it will make important backups of what we will fix.

Please go to Start > My Computer > double-click your C:\ drive > click: File > New > Folder > name it HJT and put HijackThis into that folder.

You might want to print these instructions for reference or copy and paste them into notepad and save them on your desktop, as you will be off the internet while using HijackThis.

Next...

Boot into Safe Mode. Reboot your computer, start tapping F8 when it first starts booting, select Safe Mode.

Make sure your computer is configured to show all files and folders.
Click Start.
Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden Files and Folders heading select Show Hidden Files and Folders.
Uncheck hide extensions for known file types.
Uncheck the Hide Protected Operating System Files option.
Click Yes to confirm.
Click OK.

Search for and delete the following files:

C:\WINDOWS\mxTarget.dll
C:\WINDOWS\systb.dll

Search for and delete the following folders:

C:\Program Files\Ebates_MoeMoneyMaker < delete the entire Ebates_MoeMoneyMaker folder

Next....

Go to Start > Run > type "cleanmgr" (without the quotes). > Select the drive to clean up (usually C ) > Place a checkmark next to the following:

Temporary Internet Files
Recycle Bin
Temporary Files

Then click OK.

Reboot normally.

Next...

Download Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition version 1.05 from:

http://www.lavasoft.de/support/download/

Run Adaware, click the "Check for Updates now" link. Install the latest reference file

Perform a "Full system scan" with Adaware. Allow it to remove anything it finds.

Please post a fresh HijackThis log.
