My IE was hijacked

Hi all,

For some reason I can't change the properties of my IE 6 anymore. when I try it, I get a warning: "you can't change those parameters because you have limited rights on this computer, please address the system administrator"

Well, just to make things clear: I AM the sys admin on my computer and one look at the list of users confirms that.

I guess I caught this disease while surfing on the net. How could I restore things to the way they were before??

Thanks! D.

OK, I found the answer.

I downloaded hijackThis and looked at the log it produced. There I found a key called NoBrowserOptions under HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions present

It was set to value 1 and after I changed it to 0 everything went back to normal. I didn't even have to reboot...

Thanks anyway and I hope this thread could help someone one day

d.
