Angry Need help against hijackers

Here's my sad story:

My web browser (Internet explorer 6.0) has been hijacked, and the start page became some unknown search engine. I ran almost every available anty-spyware and adware program, and the only result was that my startupo page is now always "about:blank". I am trtying to restore it to my favorite "www.google.com", but it resets itself to blank every time I restart the browser. I tried changing registry settings in HKEY_CURRENT_USER and HKEY_LOCAL_ MACHINE, but it didn't help. Any ideas???

Thanx in advance for your help!

I must admit that my suggestion would be to start over with a fresh install of Windows and use different browser.

Hi c444l,

That's why we use HijackThis and the other tools associated with malware removal, so people don't have to format their hard drives everytime they get infected
