Exclamation Needs to be fixed immediately! Search2web popups and blue bar at IE startup

undefinedMy Internet Explorer somehow has search2web on it. Don't know how to get rid of it and it wont let me search with MSN automatically when type somethign I want to search on the url bar. Always goes to search2web. At IE startup, always has "search2web passthrough". Lemme reboot my computer and post a hijackthislog. brb.

Hi risa,

Please update HijackThis, you are using an outdated version:

Open HijackThis, click Config > Misc Tools > Check for Update online

Or download a copy of version 1.98.2 at: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download3155.html

Post a fresh log with this new version.

Tom

I finally found the way to remove this stupid blue bar!!! argh!

This annoying bar comes with MSN Plus! Installation. You can choose if you want install it or not. So, UNINSTALL you MSN Plus! now and install it again without this option!!

tsuru,

That might remove the "stupid blue bar", but risa has a LOP infection. Messenger Plus does install LOP. I doubt if uninstalling and reinstalling Messenger will remove LOP.

Cool search2web problems

The problem you described is after installation from Messenger 3 Plus. Uninstall this program and download serch & destroy spyware. This will solve your problem as far as I know
