Same exact reason why i dumped it as well.

Right now, I have mcafee av, and it takes 10-15mb ram. Very nice.

I have found that too corrupted_wise, McAfee does seem to have a smaller footprint than Norton. Have you seen Norton 2005? BLOATED!!!!!

AVG has a free version available:

http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php.

After you install it, make sure you update it right away and perform a full system scan.

Thumbs up www.postmaster.co.uk

There is a website called www.postmaster.co.uk which is allergetic to spams. Once you curb the flow of junk mail the possibility of virus also decreases. Because many time we get virus through junk mails.

Thumbs up

Hi there you can try AVG 6 Free edition from Grisoft.com I used it for 3 years and it kept my computer virus free I would recomend this program to anyone as it is not as complicated as norton or mcaffee it is so simple to use and has regular updates I was so pleased with it I upgraded to AVG 7 Which is not free but I am still very impressed with it. from kev

Just a reminder...

Support for AVG6 will end December 31, 2004

AVG has a new free version available: AVG7 Free edition.

http://free.grisoft.com/freeweb.php.

If you have AVG6 previously installed, AVG7 will automatically remove the previous installation.

After you install it, make sure you update it right away and perform a full system scan.

Tom
