Process rundll32.exe use 99% CPU perf.

Hi experts

My CPU usage suddenly jumps to 99%. In task manager the process rundll32.exe is taking up 95-99% of the usage. I also see another line with rundll32.exe, which does not use up any ressources.
I have already run the following programs and removed everything detected:

CWSShredder
Spybot
Ad-ware

Hi Tom Myboy,

Thanks for your reply:=) In the end I got so fed up with the problem that I just formatted the PC and installed another version of XP (XP Pro), which has been running very smoothly so far....it was anyway about time to refresh my registry because simple transactions were starting to slow down the system!

Kind regards
Dan

Thanks for letting us know Dan.

Keep in mind, there should little reason to format. After we got you cleaned-up, we could have dealt with the excessive and unnecessary startup programs you had.

Have a great day

Tom
