thanks for the link i used 95% of the tweaks but it is still constantly running at 100% cpu usage.. i know it is running at 100% because i can sit there and watch it for 5 minutes at a time and it doesnt even drop to 99%..

this happened when i first brought the computer too.. i installed win 2000 pro and it ran at 100%.. so i cracked the ****s and re installed it again after a couple of weeks... it then ran fine for about 6-7 months... now i decide to upgrade to win xp home and its gone back to 100%..

the only other thing i can think of that would cause it to be running like a nugget is when i turn the computer on i get a error which says "bios update data incorrect".. could this be the cause?

also i am running an intel celeron 2.2ghz processor with 256 meg of ram .. is that enough ram for xp to run smooth... advice would be appreciated thanks

i think i have found the problem i was lookin through my task manager an found that Rscmpt.exe is using anywhere from 78-94 % of the processor under the cpu tab in my task manager. so i done a web search and found a page about the problem.. the problem seems to lye in the nvidia drivers that are distributed with the video cards please read the Rscmpt.exe part of the following link an give me your thoughts
