Removing Spyware

hey, i think this is the right place to post this problem.

on my downstairs computer, it hasnt been scanned for spyware for a long time. I ran spybot and it, and it found 30 problems and removed them all. I then ran ad aware. It scanned the whole of the PC, finding a whooping 1144 critical objects! The problem is, it crashes towards the end of the scan, so i cant remove any of it. I have tried rebooting and running it again, closing unnessary programs etc and it does the same thing. How can i stop it from crashing? thanx, stuart

Not sure if it will work, but try booting into safe mode (hit F8 while the computer restarts, before the windows loading screen pops up) and see if Adaware will run in that mode. I think by memory it will.

You can click the 'Cancel' button to stop the further scanning, and Ad Aware will allow you to process the critical objects found so far. When done, simply re-start the scanning and continue your search and destroy of these annoying problems.
