sircam virus
i was wondering if there is a way to find/check (not remove) if i'm infected with the sircam virus without using antivirus programs and going into the registry? does it leave a file or anything on the system i can find (i have win98)?
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/ve...am.worm@mm.html the one on the page there is the one i supposedly receive (but not saved/opend) and deleted. i've seen somewhere that one type of sircam runs by outlook express in the preview panel with activex or something. just making sure and stuff...

Just a few days ago, I got infected with W95.MTX.dr. What it did, was block access to symantec and norton and other anti-virus websites. It also, attempted to connect to the internet in order to download another virus file, replace a program with the file, and rename the virus file to the program name. It was a virus/worm type. Infected over 150 files!
