Sound & Video problems when opening anthing
Whilst playing music/video everything is fine until i click on absolutely anything. Whether its opening a doc, calculator, any program or surfing the net. What happens is, the cpu usage jumps up to 100% & for about 30 secs the video and/or sound freeze up until the new application has opened. There are no trojans, viruses, adware, dialers or spyware on the computer. The computer is fast, files, programs & internet all open fast, unless i have the music or video playing at the same time. The "start-up" XP music is scratchy & this could be a clue maybe? Ive tried loading just the basic start-up in msconfig & have checked every file & program on the system. All drivers say they are working properly, direct X has been tested. It's not a media player problem because the same thing happens with other players. Have tried approx 16 different help programs such as, spybot, pc medik, adaware, tweak & nortons scans & the computer is clean. I need a fresh pair of hands on this coz i've tried for 6 weeks now. Cheers! Cozzy

Hello! is anyone there? I've just uninstalled loads of games, add-ins, windows messenger, Java applets, the printer, the mouse, turned off system restore, re-installed drivers, disabled indexing services, deleted Outlook Express Q837009, unplugged the speakers, uninstalled 2 cameras, uninstalled, then reinstalled the keyboard. Tried a dozen virus programs, trojan removers, registry cleaners, heal & boost, Adaware, Spyware, pro this, & pro that etc etc, to find out what hardware interrupts are going on. Still, i cannot get the puter to do 2 things at the same time. It's the cleanest, fastest puter on Earth at the moment at doing just ONE TASK. I've just opened a word doc in about 0.1 of a second, then, left it opened when clicking on "calculator" & had to wait 30 seconds for it to open. CPU at 100% & hardware interrupts taking 95% of that up.
Please, is there anyone out there? |

My Hijack Log
Thanks, Shut up and shave. This is the log of Hijack this. Before the scan i re-enabled "Fast user switching" & "NetMeeting remote desktop sharing", in msconfig services. I also re-enabled "Msg Plus" & "No name.....Software Microsoft Windows current version run" from "start - up" in msconfig. So evrything should now be showing. I uninstalled Windows Messenger yesterday too. Cheers!

shutupandshave where are you? The waiting is killing me! It's not just the initial problem now coz something is taking over the puter. Internet does not respond 1st time i try to navigate & also i've noticed when i click on properties on any folder then the size & how mant files, MB, bytes, etc actually count up for 5 mins until it tells me. Also, i've got windows update set on automatic but to tell me first. Strange, but every day i get updates that were issued 6 months ago. The same updates keep wanting to install & i press "yes" every time!
