hello once again jobimon.
the system idle process running at near 100 % is not a bad thing at all. its the process that runs when your system is "idle" and not doing anything. The one or two of the svchost process sometimes do need a lot of reources, so thats ok as well.

You still have traces of malware on your system that must be fixed. I havent had time to go over your log. Please have patience over the next few days and check this thread regularily. There are others on this board who will stop by and help you out.

so i wanted to add that my computer is just running slower than it should...much slower than i'm used to. if i have a window open and drag it across the screen it moves really choppy....scrolling is the same way. when i do this i get a 100% spike. even moving just the pointer will do that too. i don't know if it helps or not but my computer never did this...

Hi jobimon,

It's not that uncommon to see four or five svchost.exe running in your log. It's a problem when it's spelled like: scvhost.exe which indicates trouble.

I see no problems in your log. A few entries can be fixed though:

If you have any questions before starting the fix, please don't hesitate to ask!

Logoff your internet/network connection.

You will have to right-click TeaTimer in the SystemTray and select "end" before starting these fixes. Rebooting will restart Tea Timer.

Next...

Run HijackThis, click scan, place a checkmark next to the following items. Close all browsers and any other windows or the fix may not work! Click "fix checked".

It is OK if some of these items are no longer listed.

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =

These are resource hogs that can be fixed also:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [QuickTime Task] "C:\Program Files\QuickTime\qttask.exe" -atboottime

O4 - Global Startup: BigFix.lnk = C:\Program Files\BigFix\BigFix.exe

Please reboot and post a fresh HijackThis log.

Tom
