Trojan Horse Agent. tay

Dear All,

>Installed a copy of win xp pro on my pc (not a legal version)
>PC was slow, felt there was a background process program
rootkit running on my pc?
>looked at services ,found 5 services with names like
C:\WINDOWS\system32\262655FB.exe
>disabled the 5 services ,ran AVG found trojan horse agent.tay
>ran kaspersky online scan --no bugs found

1. Is my windows xp safe no hidden rootkits ?
2. Is windows vista safer than xp , I read and heard it was buggy ?

My RKR Log:

If you have the hardware to run Vista (dual core 2 gig ram 256 non onboard video Sata drive) go for it. I use Vista and have no issues.

It all depends what YOU do while using it.

Now I am using the hard disk which has Ubuntu on it.
If the pirated version of windows xp has a rootkit on it will a rootkit scanner such RKR or gmer pick it up ?

Thank You Porthos
