Unable to remove Trojan Horse with Anti-virus software
Hi,
A computer whose XP Professional installation hasn't been updated, reports 7 viruses which cannot be repaired by Norton 2004, AVG (free edition), or trendmicro online scan. One such virus is Trojan Horse irc\backdoor.sdbot54 in winnt\system32\tftp4852. Can anyone suggest how to go about deleting this virus? Thank you.

Hi bper,
Download HijackThis (link below). Make sure you install HijackThis to a permanent folder such as C:\HJT as it creates backups of what we will fix. Run the program, press Scan, after a brief pause... press Save log. Notepad will open, copy and paste the entire log into your post. Do not fix anything yet, most of what's in the log is needed! Tom
