Exclamation unspecified error
can someone please help me?

i don't really know anything about computers...but my internet hasn't been working. Yesterday, a friend came over a helped me fix the internet, but there's still an error. After about a few seconds of opening internet explorer, there's this message that says 'unspecified error' and closes internet explorer. Then when I open internet explorer again, the same thing happens. No one seems to know what to do or doesn't have any time.
