virus problem

We have problems of internet being disconnected at frequent intervals. But it get connected if we disconnect and reconnect the broadband cable. Is this due to any virus infected in our network?

Please, I require help at the earliest.

If you're able to power-cycle the modem (pull the power plug out for about 20 seconds) and it works fine after that, it almost seems as though you've got a bad router or you're getting a bad connection from your broadband provider.

I would say, just to make sure there isn't anything infecting your computer, get these free scans:

Trend Micro

Panda Software

You may also want to call your ISP and let them know about your problems to see if they've had anyone else report such problems in your area.

Let us know if you find anything from the virus scans!
