Try booting into Safe Mode and fixing it with HijackThis.
It was probably a drive-by download. It may have been installed without your knowledge or possibly another user installed it. It's not too much to worry about as the line in your log says the file is missing anyway: O9 - Extra button: Your PC is infected with Spyware - click here to fix your PC - {FB74C951-ACA1-4e33-A94C-A9261EB2CCB7} - https://www.spydeleter.com/order2.php?KBID=1062 (file missing) Do you have any extra buttons on the main IE button toolbar, or extra items in IE 'Tools' menu related to Spywaredeleter? Yes my IE explorer still has that red exclamation point that says I may be infected with spware.
Also my Norton Virus scanner stil detects 4 possible threats. Though low caution threats they still appear everytime I run the scan? Is this something I should be worried about.. Thanks again |

Regarding those 4 threats....
I did a scan again and wrote down the files my Norton virus said were potentially dangerous....
Here they are... The file name C:\Windows\system32\06wu29rd.exe The file name C ocuments and Settings\Jeremy\Local\Settings\Temp\TI178C.tmp\preInsln.exeThe file name C:\Windows\preInsln.exe The file name C:\Windows\system23\WebRebates_Auto\install\silent.exe, not to sure I copied down this one right though. What are your thoughts on these things picked up during the scan? Thanks |
