Windows not loading because of Norton Anti-Virus
Norton's anti-virus complained that my machine had the ABC virus (corrupts .exe and .com files). So I decided to back up all of my files and to wipe the computer clean.
While backing up the last bit of files, the machine crashed and now I'm unable to get to windows (unless by safe mode). I get the following message : "While initializing device: NAVAP : Windows Protection Error. Please restart your computer." How can I bypass the anti-virus program so that it'll just load windows? And, would this even work? I'm running Win 98. |

Unless you are running W2K, you can run the msconfig program from safe mode and control the startup programs. You should be able to disable NAV from starting automatically.
