Question Stolen email address or possible virus?

    Hi,
I noticed a strange email in my junk folder, it claimed that 'my account' (in a completely unknown name) had been left idle and asked whether I wanted to continue using it. What puzzles me is that I never asked this provider for an account? I wonder if you can tell me if it was a virus or if some numpty has registered my email for this account. Crazy.
    Thanks,
    Boo Dilly

Sounds suspicious to me. I'd just ignore it. Most of those emails just want you to click on their link to validate you are a real person and they work from there to do all kinds of nasty things.

If you dont know who it's from, don't open it is my policy.

Hate to resurect a dead topic, but why not.

As of Mozilla Thunderbird 0.6, you can "sanitize HTML".

So, if you suspect an email of being junk, make sure "Sanitize Junk Mail" is turned on, mark the message as junk, and preview at will.

Removes those nice <script>, <img>, etc. tags.

It's a usefull little touch that I love.
