    Help Please

I started where it says to start and ran every program but when i tried to use bit defender my computer froze or restarted every time.(I tried seven times) This was the case before i came here, I tried to use spybot and 3-5 minutes in my computer would freeze or restart. I've been told it uses to much cpu usage. I dont know what to do. Can someone PLEASE help me.

The virus I have redirects me and open up pages by itself and also it causes my computer to freeze and restart occasionally. I use firefox but i used internet explorer to use bit defender as instructed.

Who told you it "uses to much cpu usage"? You might just have to wipe and reinstall your OS. Try running the programs without being connected to the internet.

Did the first for steps of 1-4 find nothing?

    http://forums.devshed.com/antivirus-protection-117/if-you-have-infection-issues-start-here-first-519852.html

Skip 5 if you can't get it to run and do 6.

Can you back up those files and make sure you clean them before you use them?

win32 error are normally windows errors and although could be a virus, it might be that some system file is corrupted or possibly a hardware issue.

Does the error message say anything other than win32? I highly doubt that is it.

Slightly off topic, why are you using IE6 with XP? IE6 is a really old version of IE and IE is a poor browser (IMO). Upgrade your IE version to 8 and/or try out Firefox or Chrome.

I didn't get to really see the error message because it restarted but it had a send and don't send option if that matters. And I dont use Internet explorer, I use firefox but should i still update? Also my computer just restarted before i replied, it seems like their becoming more frequent.
