The more I code fairly complex sites - with the intention of making their presentation AND structure flexible, the more a single problem sticks in my throat.
It would be solved wonderfully by an equivalent to EXPORT DISPLAY, where the product of a script is exported to the frame of your choosing, and where actions triggered within that frame (i.e. within the exported html) were picked up by the server and applied against the original script wherever it is (keeping all your variable scopes handy, letting you be REALLY dynamic in where you place content without adding scripting complications) If you think about it, with a simple command like export, you get around the hastles of all that URL passing as well.
Can it be done! Have I made myself clear? Do you know what I'm talking about!
