I have recently re-installed PHP and Apache on my web server, and now I cannot get Apache to recognize that PHP files need to be parsed. It keeps giving me a download box when I try to access a PHP page on my site. Apache was configured with --activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a.
I have uncommented the AddType lines in httpd.conf and restarted the web server. No help. I have recompiled Apache and PHP a couple of times over...no help. Some specifics: Apache 1.3.20 PHP 4.0.6 SSL v2.8.x I see no reason why this shouldn't be working....but it doesn't. Can anyone offer any assistance? TIA! --Sam Masiello |

I had the same problem few days ago,
when I have reinstalled Apache (see my problems with paths). I modified manually the new httpd.conf with the same modification that of the old one. What I forgotten to add was this line: Action application/x-httpd-php "/php/php.exe" My OS enviroment is Win98. |
