Question Apache Tomcat Along Side Apache?

I have a web server running plain old Apache and now I'm being told we need to run a application called 'Agilefant' which requires Apache Tomcat. My question is since I've never used Tomcat or have any understanding of how it works, can Tomcat work side by side with Apache web server? It says it can according to the Wiki page but I'm not sure since I've never used it and decided to ask you pros before diving head 1st.

    Thanks for any info!

Yes, but as far as I know you can't run them both on the same IP+port at the same time.

if mod_proxy is loaded, you may be able to use Reverse Proxy to do what you want.

More info @ this apache docs page >HERE< ....or maybe >THIS<
