Apache(vs)Zope are they even comparable?

Hey,

I just discovered Zope just finished downloading it, looks and sounds real cool real powerful.

So anyway was wondering whether Apache and Zope are comparable
if they are even the same thing and if they can live in harmony with each other.

Plus if they can run together at some level, who is the boss?

like maybe possible to create subdomain via apache and run the sub as Zope or viceversa.

I don't know just want to get some opinions

Since I found from it here I assume devshed uses this software.

So can I get some general opinions of how Zope and Apache work
together Does it make a killer system?

Apache.

Yes.

>> Does it make a killer system?

No if you don't subscribe to bugtraq mailling list. Zope is very insecure. Almost one new exploit per month.

well i've made some progress and see what it's all about, very interesting. I'm gonna play with it.

So freebsd would you recommend it if the user is security conscious?

When freebsd speaks listen!

If freebsd says use Apache then use Apache.

Why?

Because freebsd knows!

No. Like IIS, the problems with Zope is design flaw. No matter how security conscious you are, a new exploit will be discovered sooner or later and you will just have to patch it over and over again.

Personally, I have never tried Zope. The keyword zope just show up in bugtraq way too often.

Cool

essentially I have been building the same thing In php with all the administrative powers and it seems to be all tight.

So hey I have my stuff mirrored.

I appreciate your opinions freebsd and don't say you didn't warn me
but I ain't gonna cry when it all comes crashing down.
